NATIONAL
MANUFACTURING COMPANY
ROCK FALLS, ILLINOIS
National Manufacturing Company, a maker of
hardware products in central Illinois, has a 2.3 MW power generation system with
parallel and stand alone capability. This system not only provides significant
savings on electricity during peak hours, but it also provides reliable back up
power in case of utility outages. During recent storms, while the rest of the
area was without electricity, the three 775 kW Caterpillar engines started up as
programmed, and plant production went on with no interruption. Where loss of electricity
can mean significant losses, the security and reliability of on-site electrical
generation is priceless.
